Test results

Getting your test results

When a test is requested by the GP they will advise whether a follow up appointment is required and the likely timescale for results.

Your GP will not routinely contact you with results. We encourage patients to review all results from any investigation the GP requests.

Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:

  • in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • in your Patient Access account
  • phone or visit us between 10am to 4pm and we will tell you what the results are

If you are unable to view the results online or unsure whether the test has been received, or are unclear on the follow up plan, please contact our reception team. The best time to contact reception for this purpose is the afternoon and they will be able to assist you.

Questions about your results

If you want to talk to someone about your results, fill out our test results request form and someone will be in touch.
