Patients who qualify and should have a flu jab are those groups listed below:
Healthy people under 65 do not need to be vaccinated for while flu is a nuisance it is not usually serious and the occasional bout of flu provides better long term protection than vaccination.
There will be no surgery on Monday 5 September.
From time to time we report on the fund. The Edward Pay Medical Fund is a registered charity set up by the family of the late Edward Pay. Its initial objective was to raise funds to buy a syringe driver for the use of the care of people at home with terminal illness. The object of the fund is to purchase equipment and services for the benefit of patients of The Alresford Surgery. It receives both large and small donations and from time to time fund raising activities are held for specific purchases. Over the years it has purchased many items of equipment. Recent noticeable additions are; an electrically adjustable examination and treatment couch for use by the chiropody service; a pulse oximeter. This will enable the nurses to easily monitor the circulation in patients legs while they apply compression bandaging to treat leg ulcers; some electronic high reading weighing scales.
The Practice and Trustees would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the fund in any way.
