Dispensary

We have now heard back from the majority of our patients who we can dispense to and plan to open the dispensary on Monday 1st September. The date has been put back to ensure that all building, staffing and administrative issues are safely in place.

The opportunity to provide our patients with improved services has been the major factor in setting up the dispensary and we are very excited about this additional facility.

Preston Candover Surgery

Due to annual leave there will be no surgery on Thursday 19th June, 2003.

HIB Catch Up Programme

Parents of young children (4 years and under) may have read in the National Press that their children will be offered a 4th dose of HIB vaccine. HIB vaccine is given to protect against many illnesses including meningitis. Most babies received 3 doses of HIB vaccine with their Primary Course of immunisations but it has become evident that a 4th dose is required to reinforce a child's immunity.

We will be inviting parents to bring their child(ren) to special clinics in the near future. As this is a large task your co-operation in attending when called will be greatly appreciated. If you cannot attend on the planned appointment time please telephone the surgery for a new one. If you need any further information please contact the Health Visitor team before your appointment.
